Greenstone Point Vineyards encourages you to try the very best of New Zealand wine.

Established in 1997, we at Greenstone Point endeavour to bring you the very best of New Zealand wine by selecting only the finest fruit from the most renowned vineyard regions across the country.

We truly believe that great wine is made in the vineyard, consequently a significant emphasis is placed on our vineyard management, we also fully embrace the philosophies and principles of Sustainable Winemaking New Zealand, and were among the first vineyards to sign up to the program.

Greenstone Point aims to bring you a selection of quality wines from three world class wine growing regions of New Zealand.

Hawkes Bay: Hawkes Bay is New Zealand’s oldest and second largest wine region and is one of the hottest and sunniest areas of New Zealand. Red wines dominate the region. History, consistency, diversity and innovation continue to provide the foundation for Hawke’s Bay’s reputation as a quality producer of world class wines.

Marlborough: Marlborough is recognised as one of the premium wine regions of the world and is renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc. Wines produced in Marlborough show purity and intensity of flavours set around impressive aroma, distinctive fruit characteristics and appealing, balanced acidity.

Waipara Valley: The Waipara Valley is New Zealand’s fastest growing wine region. The valley has three general sites - valley floor, hill slopes and river terraces. These variations provide a variety of “terroir” which combined with the long, hot autumn produces richer, spicier Pinot Noirs and aromatic Rieslings.

Greenstone Point fully embraces the philosophies and principles of Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand.

As one of the original members of New Zealand’s Sustainable Winegrowing Programme we are committed to improvement in our sustainable wine production and environmental management practices.

All our grapes are grown on sustainably certified vineyards.

    In the vineyard
  1. We make our own compost from organic vineyard and winery waste.
  2. We use biological controls for pest and disease management.
  3. Soil and disease management through the use of inter-row crops.
    In the winery
  1. We recycle all cardboard, glass and plastic.
  2. We compost skins, seeds and our filter aids.
  3. Limit the use of water and cleaning materials.
  4. Reticulate heated water from our refrigeration unites for use in the winery.
  5. We use heat treated pallets for export.
  6. All our glass and packaging is made in New Zealand with a percentage being made of recycled material.
